NEBOSH Certificate Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate
  The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a qualification designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities (e.g. managers, supervisors and employee representatives) to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions. The NEBOSH National General Certificate is not a qualification for health and safety specialists, who should seek to obtain a professional qualification such as the NEBOSH National Diploma.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate
  The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety has been designed for managers, supervisors, worker representatives and others who require a basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. It provides an appropriate breadth of knowledge for non-specialists in occupational health and safety to enable them to discharge more effectively their organisational duties or functions with respect to workplace health and safety.
• NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
  The NEBOSH Construction Health and Safety Certificate is a qualification both for those with construction management responsibilities and for those who are required to provide routine, day-to-day advice on health, safety and welfare in construction work.
• NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
  The NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate aims to build on the success of the National General Certificate. The Fire Certificate has been designed for managers, supervisors, employee representatives and those embarking on a role with fire safety responsibility and aims to equip holders to contribute to the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and fire preventive and protective measures within most workplaces.

IOSH Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely
  The IOSH Managing safely course is for those required to manage safely and effectively in compliance with both their organisation’s policy and best practice in health and safety.
• IOSH Directing Safely
  The IOSH Directing Safely course aims to provide directors, owners and senior managers of small and medium sized enterprises with an understanding of the moral, legal and business case for proactive health and safety management and to give guidance on effective risk management.

CCNSG - Client / Contractor National Safety Group Qualifications

• CCNSG Safety Passport
  The aim of the Client / Contractor National Safety Group; The CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.
• CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal
  The Client / Contractor National Safety Group; The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal Course is a one day refresher for those who possess the CCNSG Safety Passport, and wish to renew their passport for a further 3 years.

CIEH Level Qualifications

• CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH
  The CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH qualification is designed for those who use substances hazardous to health at work. It introduces candidates to substances, the risks and controls available, and outlines what to expect from a control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessment.
• CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (NEW)
  The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (NEW) qualification is required by everyone entering the workplace for the first time – either as part of a work experience programme or at the start of employment as part of their induction programme.
• CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
  CIEH Level 2 Awards Health and Safety in the workplace qualification can be tailored to business and individual health and safety needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose and replaces the CIEH foundation certificate in health and safety in the workplace.
• CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
  Supervisors have both a legal and moral responsibility to look after the health and safety of employees. The CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification will enable managers and supervisors to improve the health and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity.
• CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of Risk Assessment
  The CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment is a new CIEH qualification designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety. It’s main purpose is to enable learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment.
• CIEH Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice
  Anyone carrying out a risk assessment needs to have the necessary knowledge and skills. The CIEH Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice qualification ensures that supervisors and managers have the necessary depth of understanding to enable them to carry out risk assessments.
• CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety
  Work-related violence is on the rise and yet employers have a duty of care to provide a safe place of work. The CIEH has developed the CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety qualification to help organisations protect their staff as well as their organisational and operational effectiveness.
• CIEH Professional Trainers Certificate (Formally Train the Trainer)
  Formally known as the “CIEH Train the Trainer” Successful candidates of the CIEH Professional Trainers Certificate will be able to structure, design and deliver interesting and stimulating training. This qualification is essential for anyone wishing to become a CIEH registered trainer.
• CIEH Principles of Manual Handling
  The CIEH Principles of Manual Handling qualification introduces candidates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what to expect from a manual handling assessment. It will enable employees to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace.
• CIEH Environmental Awareness Certificate
  The CIEH Environmental Awareness Certificate qualification has been designed for middle managers and supervisors who have responsibility for decision-making, managing budgets, allocating tasks and meeting performance targets. It will also enable them to take corrective action and be confident in dealing with environmental issues and customer queries.
• CIEH Stress Awareness Certificate
  The CIEH Stress Awareness Certificate is aimed at general workers and also serves as an introduction to the issue for more senior staff. The qualification will enable employees to contribute to strategies which combat work-related stress.

• STCS Health and Safety for Managers and Senior Executives

STCS | CCNSG Safety Passport accreditation

In September 2008 SHEilds Training and Consultancy Services Ltd (STCS) gained full ECITB accreditation to deliver the highly valued ECITB - CCNSG Safety Passport scheme along with the refresher course (Safety Passport Renewal) joining the small number of other organizations to do so in the UK.

The ECITB / CCNSG Qualification

Gaining the qualification with STCS comes with a range of benefits to both employer and employees.
Developed to nationally recognised standards the qualification is valued by environmental health professionals as it promotes good practice and safer working environments and can also help to reduce insurance premiums and minimise the risk of litigation. Alternate training venues can be arranged throughout the UK and also the Middle East (Dubai, Qatar etc), where STCS has seen that the CCNSG qualification is of an even higher demand in these regions.
