Management

Management Consultancies

We believe a strong synergy exists between consultancy and business development, and that our services can be used in a number of ways; as part of a continuous improvement plan, an integral part of managed projects, a facet of a nominated competent person scheme to name but a few.

Consultancy must be bespoke to the business; at SHEilds Training and Consultancy Services (STCS) the first stage of arriving at a consultancy package apt to the client is to undertake an initial audit or ‘health check’ of the situation.

From this we are then able to produce the client a formal report detailing any failings, and more importantly suggested routes for improvement.

Consultancy can take several forms dependent on factors such as the type and size of a company, the desired outcome and not least of all, the subject in question.

One route of consultancy offered by STCS is

Training Needs Analysis

Training Needs Analysis

Businesses of all sizes perform best when the people within the business carry out their roles efficiently and effectively; people can only operate at this business premium level if they are well trained. Many businesses are aware of the financial cost and loss of credibility from too little or inappropriate training; one solution we offer is to undertake a thorough and systematic diagnostic of your training needs. Our focus is to provide training for real improvement; all too often training programs are undertaken by companies because of ‘offers’ or due to an authority deciding what training is ‘good for a particular industry’.

We follow a proven route for TNA which allows our clients to have a transparent view of the situation.

1. The Training Need

A performance issue has been identified which can be an opportunity for business improvement by human performance.

2. Identification of Training Needs

This stage of the process identifies the actual training need a the employee or business level. Allows the analyst to discriminate between want and the real training need.

3. Analysis of Training Needs

Allows the analyst and the business to determine how best the training need can be met.

Dependent upon the situation a simple Training Needs Analysis can be undertaken over the telephone, a more complex TNA may take the form of an in house diagnostic project. Training however is not always the solution to the needs of a business or a particular situation; our consultants frequently undertake diagnostics and audits to provide the client with a report that indicates specific failings and suggested solutions.

4. Diagnostic

The initial phase of the consultancy package, in which our specialists visit with potential clients and typically, will involve an audit of the clients premises.

5. Report Preparation

Keeping in close contact with the nominated key persons, our consultant team will contribute to the preparation of the client report allowing the report at this stage to be completed in an accurate and expedient manner.

6. Analysis & Report

Post the preparation stage the detail and information thus far is analysed and the consultancy team will provide appropriate solutions and recommendations. Report with summary findings and conclusions are submitted to the client.

7. Client Support & Interventions

Our clients can engage the services provided by STCS at various levels, from a one off intervention, to a fully managed package of interventions, training, direct and indirect support.

In support of our own expert advisers and consultants STCS is also the centre of a technical hub made up of a number of retained associates and technical consultants from a diversity of specialist areas. The use of this technical hub allows STCS to provide cost effective solutions across a wide range of business applications including :-
